WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Library Services

We’re excited to announce that the Library will begin its phased reopening to Getty staff on July 6. The following services will be offered during the month of July to staff:

  • The Reference staff will continue providing a virtual reference desk and expand to limited in-person hours.
  • Library Circulation will move to a weekly schedule for paging and delivering including weekly deliveries to the Museum, GCI and Villa.
  • Library “open” stacks on GRI L2 and L3 floors will remain closed in July; continue to request materials online.
  • The Special Collections Reading Room will open daily for Getty staff appointments.
  • Interlibrary Loan will begin borrowing physical materials again!

Please see the attached PDF for specific details. Information on our reopening to readers is coming soon.

Reminder: Connect to the Internet with Eduroam Wi-Fi

With travel starting again, remember that visitors from institutions that participate in eduroam can obtain secure Internet access when visiting Getty. When Getty staff visit other eduroam participant sites, they can easily obtain the same secure Internet access without needing to ask for a Wi-Fi password. Read more about eduroam here.
