About

Goal

The Future of Art Bibliography (FAB) initiative tackles concerns raised by the art historical community about library closures, scant funding for art libraries worldwide, and the end of Getty’s support for the Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA). An international group of art librarians, historians, publishers, and information specialists contribute to FAB by collectively examining sustainable ways to support and develop the expanding bibliography of art history through a series of community-driven projects.
