The Getty issues picture identification badges to all staff as well as invited guests. Badges should be visible at all times while on the premises.

You are expected to take your badge home with you at the end of the workday and you are responsible for safeguarding and keeping it in your possession. If a badge is lost or damaged, please contact the Security Badging Office (Ext. 6930) during regular business hours or the Security Control Room (Ext. 7001) after hours and on weekends. Security Badging will deactivate the lost badge a replacement will be issued. The first replacement for a lost badge is free, but each new badge after that will cost $25.

If your badge is lost, it is important to have it deactivated immediately. If it has only been misplaced, it can be reactivated at a later time.

Badge access is determined by your host department. If you find that you need access to a certain area to perform your daily job duties, contact your supervisor and request the access.

The sale, transfer, or loan of a Getty badge is strictly forbidden and can result in termination.

Upon completion of your residency, please return your badge to the supervisor of your host department or to the Security Department.
