In the year 1997, the Spice Girls topped the charts, and gas was just $1.30 a gallon.

It was also the year that the Getty Center first opened its doors. To celebrate, we’ve been traveling back in time to remember what Los Angeles was like when the Getty Center was the new kid on the block.

We’d also like to say thank you for 25 wonderful years by inviting you to get jiggy with this playlist of 25 songs to commemorate the Center’s 25th anniversary.
