Getty abhors all acts of violence and destruction that are grounded in hatred, including racial, religious, or political hatred.

The recent hate-related, racially-motivated murders in a Buffalo supermarket and in an Orange County church, the ongoing mass atrocities and genocide in Ukraine, and violence elsewhere in the world, are all antithetical to our values and to our common humanity.

Whether it be the loss of life, or the loss of cultural heritage through which large populations identify, we condemn all discrimination-based violence and destruction. These are atrocities against both people and entire cultures. That hate-related violence is occurring with ever greater frequency in our country and in our world is profoundly disturbing.

At Getty, our organizational values are to promote common, global understanding, diversity and inclusion, tolerance, and peace for all people and the cultures that unite us. To promote a civil society is the core of our mission; it is our responsibility to our employees, our community, our nation, and the world to stand firmly against racism and hatred. Our work to this end is more important than ever. (Leer en español.)
