Summer in Los Angeles wouldn’t be complete without June gloom, a sea of tourists, and the sweet sounds of free outdoor concerts at the Getty Center.

Beginning June 1, Off the 405 is back for 2024 with a stacked lineup ranging from Ethiopian jazz and funk to dreamy multi-instrumental music en español to avant-garde Los Angeles-based electronic indie. Whether you’re a lawn-style concertgoer who prefers to relax on a picnic blanket or someone who rides the rail to get close to their favorite performers, there’s a good time to be had by all.

This year’s artists include Hailu Mergia, Slauson Malone 1, Helado Negro, Julia Holter, and Woods. Since the concert series began in 2009, Off the 405 has hosted performances from many notable acts including Allah-Las, Reggie Watts, Moses Sumney, Shannon and the Clams, Cold Cave, Thundercat, and Tom Tom Club.

Concerts take place from 6 to 9pm and will begin with a live DJ set. Guests are welcome to arrive early, explore the Getty Center’s Central Garden and galleries, bring a picnic, and purchase food and beverages onsite before the show begins. Parking at the Getty Center is $25, or $15 after 3pm and $10 after 6pm.
