Selected Photographs

I’m a storyteller who uses photography to connect and empower. I’ve always been drawn to photography’s transience, where I’m able to capture a specific moment in time never to be replicated, while also preserving that moment forever. In such a fast-paced culture, photography helps me to slow down and be uniquely present by noticing the world’s beauty through details I might otherwise ignore. What is normally overlooked or even devalued can become exquisite. Photography also allows me to shape the perspective of a story and reminds me that all narrative is inherently fluid. Simply changing the angle or focus on the camera can tell a vastly different story. Literally everything I see can be a photo, so I constantly take pictures of anything from a foggy landscape to a group of people dancing in the street. I’m obsessed with the process of photography—both being behind the camera and admiring other artists’ work—as I try to make sense of the world around me with the click of the shutter.
