Masturah Wardak is a teen artist based in Los Angeles, California. She is interested in, and practices a wide range of art mediums, including but not limited to painting, drawing, photography, sculpting, and graphic design. She has always been drawn to the visual arts because of their unique ability to provide a physical and tangible outlet for thoughts, feelings, and ideas that are difficult to express without visual representations. Through her experience in Getty Unshuttered, she looked forward to further challenging her artistic creativity. She hopes to create photographs embodying a sense of naturalism to give heightened importance to our everyday environments and the people we are surrounded by. By mixing creative photography inspired by poster/film shots with the natural feeling of her subjects, Masturah aims to create a folio of work that helps audiences step into the pocket dimensions hidden in our [extra]ordinary lives.
