Villa College Night

Salvete, omnes! (Latin for Hello, everyone!)

Immerse yourself in the art and culture of ancient Greece and Rome during this special evening of FREE art, music, food, and fun.

Inspired by the exhibition Underworld: Imagining the Afterlife, College Night welcomes students to leave their daily lives behind and explore the mythology associated with Hades and the other immortals. You'll encounter gods, heroes, and bizarre beings - perhaps Cerberus, the Hound of Hades, Medusa, or even a blue-faced Etruscan demon.

• Take a closer look at objects dating back thousands of years through specially-themed gallery tours, and glimpse the behind-the-scenes work of conservators who care for ancient objects.

• Check out art-making stations inspired by cartoonist Krivvy, graphic designer David Lee, and ceramicist Wayne Perry.

• Make a party wreath from the Villa's own olive trees, or try out an otherworldly (temporary) tattoo.

• Enjoy free food, mixes by DJ Amara, door prizes, Getty Store discounts, and other surprises!

Come dressed in your best toga or stola (Roman gown)!
