Note: Devised title. The print is also known as Assomption de la sainte Vierge (cf. Dutuit); State 2 (cf. Schneevoogt), state 3 of three (cf. Hollstein); "P. P. Rubbens pinxit. S. à Bolswert sculpsit"--lower left corner below the image; "Gillis Hendricx excud. Antuerpiae Cum priuilegio"--lower right corner below the image; One line of Latin inscription below the image: "MAGNIFICO ET CLARISSIMO DOMINO LVCAE LANCELOTTO .... IN AMICI OBSEQVII SYMBOLVM D.C.O. MARTINVS VANDEN ENDEN."; The Flemish engraver Schelte Adamsz. Bolswert, brother of Boëtius Bolswert, produced a large number of reproductive prints after Rubens, Jordaens, van Dyck, and other artists; A reproductive print by Schelte Bolswert after Rubens's painting from ca. 1625, originally in the Cathedral at Antwerp, today at Mauritshuis, Hague; Annotated in ink in lower right corner of sheet: "[?]de la Vierge.
