There's something dizzying yet magical about seeing six images of the same person simultaneously Six Heads. It is a holistic visual experience that cannot be replicated in real life.

I was moved...emotionally drained. "Passions" was the first and last exhibit that I viewed that day... I left immediately after I finished walking through the exhibit.

Deeply touching. The depth sharing of emotions is very humanizing...and important to human life. The show gave me a sense of hope. I found relief in experiencing technology used to create art and connection, as technology can be so disconnecting.

The Passions was amazing. Just watching the emotion on their faces and their mourning made me feel the same way. It sent chills up my spine.

Thank you very much for this wonderful page!I have to prepare a creative writing lecture and I chose "The Quintet..." because I was deeply impressed when I saw it in the National Gallery "Encounters" exhibition 2000 in London. This page is really helpful when you need some clues on Bill Viola's work - and you need the information quick, comprehensible and NOW! Once again: THANK YOU!!!

...the most deeply engaging and revealing contemporary art show I have ever seen. A most moving experience. I'm sure it will take London by storm when it comes to the National Gallery.

The emotions the actors present in Silent Mountain haunts me of the emotions I experienced on September 11, 2001 as I witnessed the twin towers fall.

I don't understand how this would be considered of artistic merit when the work is only conceived by the artist, and the execution is made my others. I would much rather see something not as technically revealing, but executed by the artist as well...ideas are much more important.

So powerful! Our existence captured on film with so much care and depth. Often conceptually puzzling for my newly hatched mind, but always raises the hairs on my back. No need for any explanation, interesting this thing time. Right here, right now.

When watching Silent Mountain, I could feel my stomach crunching up. It's very real.

I was exposed to my first Indian movie last night watching Devdas at the Egyptian Theatre. I wonder if Viola knows about Bollywood movies, since they primarily deal with the depiction of passion. A whole film industry with its own unique technique elaborated around this theme. There are so many parallels to his work.
