LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund

In January 2025, a coalition of major arts organizations and philanthropists in Los Angeles led by the J. Paul Getty Trust, including the Mohn Art Collective (Hammer Museum, LACMA, and MOCA) in partnership with East West Bank, joined with the Mellon Foundation, the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Qatar Museums, Ford Foundation, and other national and international donors to create the LA Arts Community Fire Relief Fund, an emergency relief fund for artists and arts workers impacted by the devastating Los Angeles fires. Over the following five weeks, they were joined by dozens of individuals, galleries, foundations, and others across the globe to raise a total of more than $15 million for this effort.

The fund partnered with the Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI), a longstanding intermediary providing funding, advocacy, and research support on behalf of individuals in the arts, to identify and distribute assistance to those in need as quickly as possible.

The deadline to apply for relief funds at CCI was February 18, 2025, and donations are no longer being accepted online. CCI will notify applicants the week of February 24. Thanks to all who generously contributed to help ensure the arts and culture remain a vital part of the fabric of Los Angeles.
