Note: Holabird & Roche was originally established in 1880 as Holabird & Simonds, with William Holabird and Ossian C. Simonds as partners. The firm became Holabird, Simonds & Roche when Martin Roche joined the office in 1881, and Holabird & Roche when Simonds left in 1883. Other members included Edward A. Renwick who joined the firm in 1882 and became a partner in 1896. After Martin Roche's death in 1927, Holabird & Roche became Holabird & Root in 1928, with John Holabird and John W. Root as partners.
