Note: Jean de Bayeux I supervised the construction of the Abbaye Saint-Ouen de Rouen, France, from 1378 to 1398. He was named "maître d'oeuvre" of the cathedral of Rouen 29 May 1388 and "maître d'oeuvre" and engineer of the city of Rouen in 1389. After his death in 1398, Jean de Bayeux I was replaced as "maître d'oeuvre" of the city of Rouen by his son Jean de Bayeux II. |
