Dutch ..... Beschrijft de diverse soorten kunstwerken die zijn vervaardigd door de bewoners van de Golf van Papoea. De volkeren van de Golf van Papoea waren bekend vanwege hun agiba of schedelheiligdommen, die bestaan uit gestileerde antropomorfe vormen welke versierd zijn met ajourwerk en reliëfhoutsnijwerk, met decoraties in rode, zwarte en witte verf. De bewoners van de Golf van Papoea produceerden allerlei uiteenlopende soorten maskers en architectuur, welke per groep verschilden. |
