August 18, 2006: Matthew Dear and Ryan Elliott
Rolling Stone called his CD Leave Luck to Heaven "as invigorating a dance-floor record as has been heard all year." Matthew Dear blends microhouse, minimal techno, deadpan vocals, and good old-fashioned songwriting ability into addictive and melodic machine music.

Another Detroit up-and-comer, DJ Ryan Elliott programs well-crafted sets ranging from ice-cold minimal techno to summery house beats. Calling himself a "player of fine records," Elliott is a walking dictionary of artists, labels, and releases.
