Family Festival
Sunday, May 4, 2008
10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Join us for a daylong festival of activities for the entire family inspired by the exhibition The Color of Life. Create your own sculpture and bring it to life with vibrant colors just like in the exhibition. Groove to music from the Mediterranean lands and discover new interpretations of classic Greek and Roman myths.

Admission is free; an advance, timed ticket is required. Each ticket allows you to bring up to three children ages 15 or under with you in one car.

Dance and Theater

Berger and Diskin
The Chameleons, Keith Berger and Sharon Diskin, are two superbly talented theatre artists who create an irresistibly intriguing magical landscape. Through a deft assemblage of movement theatre, physical comedy, mimetic illusion, intelligence, and smoldering romance, this dynamic duo has captivated audiences all over the world with amazing vignettes that range from hilariously funny to achingly beautiful.

Clarita and Arte Flamenco Dance Theatre
Clarita and the Arte Flamenco Dance Theatre perform rarely seen renditions of Spanish classical and regional folk dances and passion-filled, fiery presentations of flamenco dance. The company, created in 1989, is based in Los Angeles and consists of professional musicians and dancers.

Fishtank Ensemble
Fishtank Ensemble serves up a unique and worldly musical melange. With Romanian folk music at its center, the band melds flamenco, Swedish folk music and klezmer reminiscent of the smokey cafés of Bucharest and Gypsy caravans.
