Marcia Tucker helped initiate a radical change in curatorial practice, from her time as a curator at the Whitney to her role as founder of the New Museum. Marking the publication of Out of Bounds: The Collected Writings of Marcia Tucker, curators Elisabeth Sussman and Courtney J. Martin discuss how curatorial work has changed since the 1960s.

Elisabeth Sussman is the Sondra Gilman Curator of Photography at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

Courtney J. Martin is the director of the Yale Center for British Art.
