KCHUNG News Radio: Public Fiction

KCHUNG News Radio

GETTY CENTER

Museum Lecture Hall

Public Fiction is a multi-faceted project run by curator Lauren Mackler that explores artistic experimentation in Los Angeles. This program presents a "live essay" on the translation of fact into fiction and fiction into fact—as seen on television. The resulting collection of ideas are footnoted by video clips of archival footage of art and activism on public access television, contemporary news coverage, and TV fictions.

KCHUNG News Radio is broadcasting live from the Getty Center in conjunction with the exhibition Breaking News: Turning the Lens on Mass Media. This episode will also be broadcast live on 106.5 FM, and streamed and archived at www.getty.kchung.news.
