Photography's long engagement with architecture found its most striking and innovative approaches in its attempts to convey the depth of space. In this presentation, Dietrich Neumann, professor of the history of art and architecture at Brown University, discusses evolving approaches to the photographic rendering of space, culminating with new approaches which renegotiate the border between photography and film in order to convey motion through space. Complements the exhibitions At the Window: The Photographer's View and "In Focus: Architecture".
