Descriptive Note Text: The tabletop is made from a single board of rosewood. The table is constructed with sophisticated mortise and tenon joinery, using no glue or nails, only wooden pegs. This facilitated its dissasembly and rebuiliding at a new location, when its scholar-bureaucrat owner moved to a new government post. Free text
