Descriptive Note Text: Discovered near Monteleone di Spoleto. The dating of the chariot is supported by the dates of the two Attic black-figure kylikes found in the same excavation. Reliefs on the chariot box illustrate three episodes in the life of Achilles or some other warrior or hero. Also depicted is a woman, possibly Achilles' mother, Thetis. On one side, the hero fights with Memnon or some other warrior. On the other side, the hero is depicted in a winged chariot. Free text
