In Focus: Ed Ruscha

For more than fifty years, Ed Ruscha has produced paintings, prints, and drawings, but photography has always been central to his artist's books. In Focus: Ed Ruscha features photographs from some of Ruscha's most famous books, several of which became source material for later works in other media. This exhibition is part of Pacific Standard Time Presents, an initiative of the Getty.

GRI Exhibition Gallery Expansion Project

The GRI is adding 2,000 square feet of gallery space as part of an ongoing commitment to present engaging and scholarly exhibitions. Construction is underway; in mid-July workers finished pouring concrete to raise the floors of the former reading room and completed framing most of the walls. To see more photos of the process, follow the GRI on Facebook.
