This grant funds a Digital Art History Laboratory at the Getty Research Institute focusing on the development of collaborative digital environments to support art-historical research. Following up on a 2011 international workshop hosted in Málaga, Spain, by the University of Málaga, this event examines the technical aspects of creating such environments.
The laboratory is part of the larger Digital Mellini research project, a collaboration between the Research Institute and the University of Málaga, centered around an unpublished 17th-century manuscript in the Research Institute's Special Collections.
