The J. Paul Getty Museum Journal is a compendium of articles and notes pertaining to the Museum’s three collections—Greek and Roman antiquities, European paintings, and French decorative arts. The first two issues deal solely with antiquities and are intended as a tribute to Bernard Ashmole. This volume includes a note by J. Paul Getty and essays by Bonnie M. Kingsley, Jiří Frel, Steven Lattimore, Joan R. Mertens, Mary Moore, Norman Neuerburg, Al. N. Oikonomides, Martin Robertson, Kondrad Schauenburg, Gerda Schwarz, David L. Thompson, Jochen R. A.
