There's no need to worry about how you'll stay fit during your residency in Los Angeles. The Getty Center has its own on-site fitness center! Getty Fitness is a 5,000 square-foot facility that contains cardiovascular and resistance training areas, a group exercise classroom, a warm-up/stretching area, locker rooms with showers, TV and movie viewing, and an administrative office/physical assessment area. Several health & fitness services are also available.

Membership is free of charge and open to eligible Scholars, Fellows and Graduate Interns. Please note that, unfortunately, spouses of grantees, including Scholar Associates, are not allowed membership to the gym.

The Fitness Center is staffed from 8:00 am - 8:00 pm, Monday - Thursday, and 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Fridays. (This excludes all Getty-designated holidays and off-Fridays.)
The Fitness Center is subject to closure for special events and emergencies.
