Widely acknowledged as the greatest portrait sculptor of the 18th century, Jean-Antoine Houdon is recognized for his uncanny ability to capture the essence of important contemporaries, including Washington, Jefferson, Voltaire, Diderot, and other notables of the enlightenment period. The exhibition, Jean-Antoine Houdon: Sculptor of the Enlightenment, features more than 70 Houdon sculptures, brought together from around the world for the first time in nearly two hundred years.
