Friday Flights

Free; no reservations required

Take a trip to Tokyo as we launch our new series, Friday Flights. Inspired by the exhibition Japan's Modern Divide: The Photography of Hiroshi Hamaya and Kansuke Yamamoto, Friday Flights features sets of J-pop and indie rock by DJ Greg Hignight, cofounder of nightlife powerhouse Tune in Tokyo.

Hip-hop artist Jason Chong collaborates with Hignight to blend dance moves with the sounds of contemporary Japan. Sip on Japanese-inspired cocktails and indulge in the cult classic Godzilla screening in the Museum Lecture Hall.

SITI Company Reads the Classics

Free

New York–based SITI Company, led by director Anne Bogart, has been in residence at the Getty Villa on several occasions over the past four years, delighting and challenging audiences with its radical re-visionings of Antigone and Trojan Women. This season, SITI Company returns to the Villa to read aloud several ancient Greek plays and engage the audience and Villa staff in a discussion about how these texts might be staged today.
