Enjoy an afternoon of art and music inspired by an underworld love story. The program features talks about the Greek myth and its continuing allure, a presentation by maestro James Conlon on LA Opera's presentation of Orpheus and Eurydice, a special musical performance, and a reception with
after-hours viewing of the museum's galleries.

Recital of music from Orpheus and Eurydice
Jeremy Frank, LA Opera Assistant Conductor/Assistant Chorus Master with soprano Emma-Grace Dunbar and mezzo soprano Sarah Reynolds. This performance features selections from Christoph Willibald Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice opera of 1762 sung in Italian, as well as sections of the ballet music from Gluck's 1774 Paris Opera version.

5:15 p.m.
Reception hosted outdoors on the Café Terrace and galleries open for viewing until 7:00 p.m.

Planning your visit
The Getty Villa and its galleries are open to the general public from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Check in begins at 12:00 p.m., and the auditorium opens at 12:30 p.m. with seating on a first-come, first-served basis. The Café is open for lunch service from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and the Getty Store is open until 5:00 p.m. Please note that some galleries are currently closed as we reinstall the collection in a new presentation.
