Create + Connect Workshop:
Scandalous Art & Political Satire

Saturday, June 21, 2014, 9:00 a.m–3:00 p.m | The Getty Center
Join us for a free one-day workshop on art and political satire. You'll hear from experts, join discussions in the Museum's galleries, and participate in hands-on activities related to artworks and themes from the Getty's exhibition The Scandalous Art of James Ensor. This exhibition charts Ensor's astonishing artistic development in the decade culminating with his avant-garde masterpiece, Christ's Entry into Brussels in 1889 (1888), a shockingly satirical indictment of modern Belgian society that is one of the Getty Museum's major highlights. Attendees will receive classroom materials, art-making activity sheets, and reproductions of artworks.

Call (310) 440-7322 to register. Space is limited, so sign up now!
