Lost Things

By Vanessa Espinoza

The materials I used were quarters, mascara, a lip balm, earphones, and my nail polish. I used these materials because they are the things I use daily, and they describe me as well. I wanted my drawings to reflect the love, the peace, and the union of the family and friends of the world I live in. The tree branch and flowers which I drew represent some of the hidden beauty the world is made up of. The colors I used were all bright and representational of how happy and vivid this world can be with more love, friends, and family. I see as well the mixture of cultures in how Spanish is mixing with the English language. Throughout the process of my artwork, I realized how important theses things are to me and how I feel about the world. With every step, I found out more of who I am and how I feel.
