Seascape

By Joanna Galvez

In my cyanotype, I used different kinds of organic shapes. The reason I ended up with just organic shapes was because of the starfish and plants. I ended up drawing more shapes into my cyanotype because of the negative space. I overlapped a few shapes and made it seem as if they were moving to create dynamism and depth. The whole meaning of the leaf-life shapes was to create repetition and to draw the viewer's eyes around the entire piece. I wanted my work to represent a seascape.
