Learning about art can be a whole lot of fun! Explore a world-renowned collection of art while enjoying the unique setting of an ocean-facing re-creation of a Roman Villa. You'll use your detective skills to uncover mysteries about works of art, and then mark your accomplishment by sharing a drawing of your favorite work of art with friends and family. This badge can be completed in English or Spanish language. No registration required.

How to get it:

To complete the Getty Villa Art Detective badge, you'll need to visit the Getty Villa and bring something to draw with. Once you arrive, pick up your choice of Art Detective Cards in the Museum Entrance or in the brochure rack located inside the Family Forum. Follow the directions on the cards to complete the activities. Once you've completed the cards, choose your favorite work of art and make a drawing of it to share with friends and family. To get your badge code, head back to the Museum Entrance and show your drawing.

What you'll need:

Bring a notebook or sketchbook and something to draw with. Pencils and colored pencils are allowed in our galleries. Markers and ink-based materials are not.
