About
Goal
Historic Buildings, Collections, and Sites was a collaboration with the Centre for Sustainable Heritage of the Bartlett Graduate School, University College London. The Centre sought to develop a new academic program in conservation and management of heritage buildings, collections, and sites. This collaboration supported Getty's commitment to providing training and information to conservation professionals and to supporting the development of conservation education.
Outcomes
- A curriculum document that served as a blueprint for a new Master of Science (MSc) degree in the conservation and management of heritage buildings, collections, and sites
- A two-phase course, “Historic Buildings, Collections, and Sites: Sustainable Strategies for Conservation, Management, and Use,” that incorporated and tested some portions of the curriculum, teaching materials, and strategies that form part of the MSc course
