Note: Sculpted to honor Native American students and alumni from Haskell Indian Nations University that died in World War II. The warbonnet and pipe connect Native WWII soldiers to fallen Native warriors in battles against the US. This sculpture is Houser's first foray into stone work and is the first sculptural commission to a Native artist. Commissioned by Haskell, the sculpture has continued to stand at the school since its creation.
