Ca' Farsetti (palace; unknown architects, owners: Dandolo, Renier; Contarini, Fede...; first constructed 1200 to 1209...)
Note: Constructed in 13th century by Renier Dandolo, son of the doge Enrico Dandolo, from 1200 to 1209, finished by mid-century; probably had a single piano nobile and a upper mezzanine. Federigo Contarini added two floors after 1440; badly damaged by fire in 1524. Ca. 1670 was acquired by the Farsetti family, who established an academy for study of classical art in 18th century. In the early 19th century it was converted into a hotel and in 1926 it became a property of the municipality of Venice.
