Blaeu has signed the dedication Joannes Blaeu, Amstelædamensis after giving the title as: Theatrum civitatum et admirandorum Neapolis et Siciliae regnorum. Some duplicating of page nos. (e.g., 51, 52, 51b, 52, 51, 52b). With the exception of the two double folded leaves of plates, all etchings are on pages backed with text. There are 8 half page, 1 single and 22 double page etchings, all colored. The first, of Naples, is signed Bastiaen Stopendaal. Although paged separately, sections on Naples and Sicily have no separating half title or title page, or caption title. Complements the 2 vol. set published the same year: Theatrum civitatum et admirandorum Italiae. (SPECIAL OVERSIZE 85-B12691). Library's copy lacks final 2 p. including the ill. for Calaris.
