Note: Painting depicting the birth of Venus, born fully grown and arriving on the island of Cyprus. Zephyrus, the god of the west wind, and the mortal nymph Aura push the goddess to the shore, where Hora of Spring awaits to dress her with a cloak. Modeled on Praxiteles' Aphrodite of Knidos.
