Note: Abbey was founded ca. 450 by St. Jean de Réome at Corsaint; relocated to the present site in the 6th century. Largely rebuilt in the 12th century; Palais Abbatial built between 1747 and 1763 by the architect Claude Louis d'Aviler. Most abbey buildings and the church were largely destroyed in the French Revolution, although the palace remains. | |
