Note: Photographs for the Case Study House Program are contained in this series. The Program was initiated by John Entenza in 1945 and sponsored by Arts and Architecture. The majority of Case Study houses were built in Los Angeles between 1945 and 1966. The goal of the program was to exhibit superior affordable housing for typical American families. The contributions to the program represent a broad scope of mid-century American modernism in residential architecture. The series is arranged alphabetically by architect, then by job number, the Case Study house numbering system can be slightly erratic.
