Note: Serapis is shown in three-quarter view with ruddy complexion enhanced by touches of beige and red. His eyes are dark brown, the upper lids and eyebrows are black. The hair is black, but the moustache and beard are brown. On his head is a gold modius, modeled with dark red, above a twisted cloth diadem with gold highlights and a wreath of brown leaves. The garment is red-brown. The panel is part of a wing door on a shrine. Together with the panel depicting Isis (74.AP.22), these panels cover the portrait of a bearded man (74.AP.20).
