Note: This scene is depicted in fifteenth-century guise, with the town of the Sudracae resembling a walled city in northern Europe and soldiers on both sides outfitted in battle gear representative of the illuminator's time. This guise helped to create a feeling of immediacy for the fifteenth-century European reader.
