Note: This photograph is taken from a print after Victorian animal painter Sir Edwin Landseer (1802-1873). Landseer's name is inscribed in the lower left of the image. An inscription in the lower right below the image indicates the composition was engraved by Thomas Landseer (1795-1880), the artist's brother. An additional inscription indicates the print was published in London by John Murray. It was published in William Scope's book "The Art of Deer-Stalking" (1839).
