Dale Creek Bridge (bridge (built work); Union Pacific Railroad Company (builder); 1868/1876; Buford (Albany, Wyoming, United States, North and Central Am...)
Note: Wooden railroad bridge that crossed a gorge holding the small Dale Creek. It was noted as being one of the highest points on the first transcontinental railroad, and one of the most dangerous, due to stiff winds. The wooden bridge was built in 1868, which was later replaced by an iron bridge in 1876. The bridge was abandoned and dismantled by the Union Pacific railroad company in 1901. The site is known as Dale Creek Crossing, which as a site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
