De Nassause wapenrok (menswear; John Smout; 1647; Rijksmuseum (Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands); NG-KOG-42; RM001.collect.1778)
Note: This colourful garment may not have been worn more than twice. The first time was in 1647, at the funeral of Stadholder-Prince Frederick Henry in Delft. The second occasion, a century later, in 1752, was also at a funeral: of Prince William IV. The garment is the only remaining heraldic tunic of the five which were worn at both funeral processions.
