Note: Plates I-III are signed by Maillart as printmaker. Plate IV is signed by Maillart as printmaker and by Lorent as draftsman. Plates V-VIII are signed by Jacowick as printmaker and scriptor and by Lorent as draftsman. The imprint of J. Chateigner appears in each plate; The suite of prints charts the French Revolution from the Assembly of Notables convened in 1787 to the pacification of the Vendée, April 20, 1794; The prints contain medallions of historical scenes, numbered sequentially 1 to 124. The scenes of the campaigns, festivals and other events are mostly derived from the plates in the Collection complète des tableaux historiques de la Révolution française; Forms part of: Prints of the French Revolution, 1774-ca. 1840 (Special Collections, accn. no. P980009*).
