Note: Giuseppe Pannini designed the catafalque on behalf of his father-in-law, Ferdinando Fuga, who was architect of the Spanish nation in Rome, but who was then working in Naples for Carlo III; Impressions of the etching were issued with: Relacion de las exequias que a la magestad del rey catolico d. Fernando VI. se hicieron en la real yglesia de Santiago delos Españoles de Roma siendo ministro encargado de los reales negocios di S. M. el em̃o y rm̃o señor fr. d. Joachin Portocarrero, cardenal obispo sabinense. En Roma : En la imprenta de los hermanos Joachin, y Juan Josè Salvioni ..., MDCCLX [1760]; Sicilian printmaker and painter from Corleone, who moved to Rome in 1736; The print depicts the catafalque in the Church of San Giacomo degli Spagnoli in Rome, that was designed by Giuseppe Pannini for the obsequies "in absentia" of the late king of Spain, Ferdinando VI, held by the Spanish nation; Numbered in brown ink on recto: 36 / 90; binding holes in the left margin; Library has another impression bound in: Relacion de las exequias que a la magestad del rey catolico d. Fernando VI. se hicieron en la real yglesia de Santiago delos Españoles de Roma ..; Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no. P910002**).
