Note: The print depicts the procession held in Rome on February 7, 1740 transporting the body of the late pope Clemente XII from the Palazzo Quirinale to St. Peter's; Below the procession, three sections document other ceremonies: the custody of the fisherman's ring to the cardinal camerlengo; the transferring of the body of Clemente XII from the Sistine Chapel to the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament at St. Peter's; the laying in state of the pontiff in the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament for the custom of kissing his foot; Binding holes along the left margin; numbered 26 in brown ink on recto and 60 on verso; burned in upper right corner, with number striked out; Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no.
