Note: Roman etcher and engraver who created prints of religious and historical subjects, portraits, architecture, and festival displays; The print shows a triumphal arch commissioned by Duke Antonio Farnese of Parma and Piacenza in honor of Pope Clement XII's taking possession of San Giovanni in Laterano on November 19, 1730; The ephemeral arch was designed by Pompeo Aldrovandini to be erected near the Orti farnesiani in the Campo vaccino or Forum in Rome. Its opening reveals the Arch of Titus; Forms part of the Collection of festival prints, 1530-1887 (Special Collections accn. no. P910002**)..
