Note: The print depicts the decoration for the fireworks display celebrating the Treaty of Utrecht which ended the War of the Spanish Succession in 1713. Large trajectories of light explode over a temple erected on a temporary island in the pond of The Hague. The Maiden of Holland stands atop the temple on a platform encircled by a ring of escutcheons. On the strip beneath the image is engraved a bilingual text, to the left in Dutch and to the right in French, each separated in three vertical columns. The title of the festival is inscribed in the central columns. The others list the allegorical components of the scenery and the placement of the rockets, all identified by numbers on the print; Penciled: No. 22 // FM 3506b. In lower left corner, monogram: TB.
